At Lexington Medical Center, we believe that all aspects of the healthcare experience should be as convenient as possible. We fully understand how today's busy lifestyles can make scheduling even the simplest of medical tests very challenging, and that's why we've created Lab Tests On-Demand, a patient requested laboratory testing service. Lab Tests On-Demand allows patients to order laboratory tests without going through the full processing time usually associated with a physician office, emergency department or hospital appointment. Patients can choose from a menu of laboratory tests that are performed in one of Lexington Medical Center's Laboratories, under physician direction, with fully accredited, quality-controlled procedures.

The LMC laboratory physician specialists (Pathology Associates of Lexington, P.A.) serve as the "ordering physician" for the pre-approved test menu and will interpret test results when appropriate. In most cases, test results are available by the next weekday, allowing patients to rapidly accelerate their medical experience.

LMC's Clinical Pathologists are responsible for the testing process and offer their own interpretive comments on significantly abnormal results at no additional charge to patients. They do not offer diagnoses or treatment advice based on these test results. If requested, final test results are sent to the patient's physician. Physician referrals are also offered by LMC's Physician Referral Service.

Please keep in mind that Lab Tests On-Demand testing is strictly offered as an informational convenience to patients and should never be used instead of a personal consultation from a physician, or as a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis and treatment. Furthermore, while we stand behind the accuracy of each test result, a single laboratory test result cannot serve as a general indication of a patient's overall health.
